The Mentoring Committee evaluates the performance of Bottom-up Projects at the Review Milestones after both Technology Transfer stages. The evaluation criteria are the quality of the deliverables, the technology performance indicators as well as deadline compliance.

Valentina JanevDr. Valentina Janev is a Senior Researcher at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, University of Belgrade, Serbia and Associated Professor at the Belgrade Metropolitan University.
 
As lead engineer, she has been involved in many information systems projects for clients in Serbia and the region. Since 2007, she has participated in many national and international research projects including project funded by the European Commission. In the last three years, she has served as a Coordinator of the H2020 project LAMBDA Learning, Applying, Multiplying Big Data Analytics and SINERGY Capacity building in Smart and Innovative eNERGY management. Currently, she serves as an expert evaluator and reviewer of EC Framework Programme Projects and H2020 projects; as a member of Scientific Committees of International Conferences and as a reviewer of respectable international journals in the domain of Semantic Technologies, Knowledge Management, Business Analytics, Expert Systems, Software Engineering and Applications.
 
In PLATOON, she is Leader of Pilot 2a (Electricity Balancing and Predictive Maintenance) Team and a Mentor of the PV Forecasting Toolbox Team.
Patrick MaurelliPatrick Maurelli is a Civil Environmental Engineer with a Master’s Degree in environmental engineering and a Ph.D. in Urban Planning Techniques (University Sapienza of Rome).
 
Moreover, he is an expert in urban planning, energy auditing, renewable energy, Near Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB), circular economy, impact assessment and risk analysis, evaluation techniques, information technology (such as GIS, DBMS, or BIM), hydraulic and electrical engineering, work health and safety.
 
Patrick Maurelli is also an Independent Expert Evaluator and Monitor for the EC (in particular the H2020 programme) and for other institutions. Besides that, he is a lecturer for master’s degree courses in Environmental engineering for sustainable development and coordinator of the GIS-BIM laboratory (Sapienza). Since 2002, Patrick Maurelli is engaged in R&D projects as an expert or project manager (ICT, energy efficiency, NZEB, RES plants but also civil infrastructures) and in international cooperation projects (IURC).

Since 2009, he focuses on RES technologies and ESCO business model, providing both R&D and commercial experiences. Recently he founded a Start-up company oriented to the BIM Design of Energy Active Buildings with a strong focus on innovation.
Jose Maria Garcia BarrigaJose Maria Garcia Bassiga works as an IT Project Manager for Innovation and Development of Business: Digital Transformation, IoT and Big Data. In the last 5 years, he has worked on European innovation projects within the H2020, ECSEL and Artemis programmes. His areas of expertise are the development of digital platforms and systems integration of Energy, Transport, Smart Cities and Health.

Jose Maria has got strong experience in IoT (CPS, Big Data, M2M), IT Architectures (SOA, cloud and fog computing), integration of systems, semantics, quality and processes (ITIL, Cobit, and ISO.2000 certifications), the definition of director plans and execution & control of IT transformation strategies.
