Demonstration Approach and Strategy – Overview of the PLATOON Pilots

There are 7 different pilots spread around 5 different European countries: Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Serbia. The pilots cover the whole range of potential energy services along the energy supply chain:

  1. Predictive maintenance in renewables (Wind Farm).
  2. Distribution grids efficient operation and assets life extension.
  3. Efficient End Use of Energy, peak avoidance and demand side response.
  4. There is a forth service so-called Optimum Energy Management in a Microgrid, which in fact considers a lot of the previous services.

The different pilots will be grouped according to the specific application field and the specific analytical tools that will be developed in each of them.
