What is the 2nd PLATOON Open Call about?
PLATOON is a project with a total budget of €9,998,445 with €1M dedicated to cascade funding where each project can receive up to €150K.
For the 2nd PLATOON Open Call, we will be selecting 7 SMEs to develop and/or extend different components of the PLATOON reference architecture and data analytics tools to be implemented and validated by PLATOON’s 7 large scale pilots that focus on increased renewable energy consumption, smart grids management, increased energy efficiency and optimised energy asset management.
The 2nd PLATOON Open Call will open on the 1st of October 2021 and close on the 1st of December at 9AM Brussels Time (CET).
Who are we looking for?
SMEs with experience in and targeting services/products in at least one of the below experimentation areas:
- Digital Interoperability (APIs and Data models)
- Data Analytics applications in energy (e.g. Predictive Maintenance, Demand Forecast, etc.)
- Data governance, security, privacy, and sovereignty
- Edge computing (SW/HW)
What challenges are being funded?
SMEs will need to extend existing products/services by integrating them into the PLATOON ecosystem and validating them in PLATOON’s large-scale pilots.
Participants are free to propose their own product/service based on the project information provided in the Guide for Applicants regarding project objectives, reference architecture, components already under development, and the available large-scale pilots.
PLATOON aims to find SMEs to develop tools and services that will support the PLATOON project in increasing renewable energy consumption, smart grids management, increased energy efficiency, and optimised energy asset management.
